Nonetheless, after making the decision to take over the store, the 25-year-old worked hard to bring his vision for the salon to life, which meant that a dramatic remodel of the building was inevitable.
Luke, from Haydock, said: “Opening my own salon is something I’ve always wanted to do. I worked my butt to create the store of my dreams and couldn’t be happier with the end result.”
Saturday’s launch has been described as a great success, with great participation from family, friends and customers that Luke has accumulated over the past decade.
The former Haydock High and St Helens College student added: “The event was simply magnificent. I couldn’t have asked for more.”
“I only opened properly yesterday and have been very busy, and that’s how I plan to continue!”
