Investors can’t help but pour money into the rapidly growing $ 380 million beauty industry, which has been radically transformed in recent years to meet changing consumer interests and demand.

More than ever, today’s buyers are looking for environmentally friendly, ethical and sustainable products. According to Sarah Jindal, associate director of global beauty and personal care at market research firm Mintel.

Sarah Broyd, associate partner and leader in beauty and personal care practice at Clarkston Consulting, also told Insider that interest in areas like clean beauty – non-toxic products made with organic ingredients and eco-friendly – and skin care has been accelerated by the pandemic as Americans confined to their homes have become increasingly focused on wellness.

“When you look at the beauty and personal care companies that are attracting investor interest, each of them seems to be exploiting current market trends to varying degrees,” Broyd said.

Here are 14 American beauty brands capitalizing on these trends, which have also provided the most VC funding since their inception, according to PitchBook.
