Packers Family Night is tomorrow
ASHWAUBENON (NBC 26) – Although it’s called “Family Night,” you can really enjoy a whole day tomorrow.
“The Packers are really excited to have family home evening return this year,” said Aaron Popkey, Packers director of public affairs. “Much like training camp, we missed these public opportunities to see the team in action, so excited about training, thrilled to have a family night out on Saturday.”
The Packers will train at Lambeau Field for the first time this 2021 season, with the team expecting around 50,000 fans to fill the stands. It will also be the first time the Packers have implemented mobile-only ticketing for fans.
“We had a really good test,” Popkey said. “It worked really well for the fans who came, we know it’s effective, we know it reduces fraud, we know it’s a convenient way to organize our tickets.”
Encouraging fans to follow the latest CDC guidelines, the Packers recommend that all participants, vaccinated or not, wear masks in crowded indoor spaces, as Brown County is considered a high transmission area. The Packers will not enforce the use of masks, nor will they require proof of vaccination. The Brown County Mobile Vaccination Unit will also be parked on the east side of the stadium, with Bellin Health administering COVID-19 vaccines and providing information to those who want to learn more.
“We continue to encourage people to get vaccinated first and foremost,” Popkey said. “We know this is the main and most important thing that everyone in our community can do to help stop the spread of Covid. And in regards to Lambeau’s coming to the field, we will continue to encourage our guests to follow CDC guidelines. ”
The fun begins Saturday at 1:30 p.m., with the Lambeau Field and Titletown parking lots opening at that time. The two outdoor spaces will offer activities for families: from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Title city will have backyard games, live music, bouncy houses, parachute activities, chalk art, face painting and more. Families simply need to submit a waiver in order to obtain a bracelet to participate in the free activities in advance. The Fan Walkway on the east side of Lambeau Field will also feature activities for families, including Wally Walbec and his heavy construction equipment from Groupe Walbec for the kids to admire. Kemps will also be on hand to sample mini ice cream sandwiches. Fans can also stop by the Polaris interactive station to see all-terrain vehicles and a snowmobile, or visit the Empire Beauty station to get colorful hair extensions, green and gold hair sequins, or braids. Heritage Trail Trolley Tours will also take place on Saturdays, with three different time slots prior to training.
“We’re looking forward to, you know we’ll call it, closer to normal,” Popkey said. “And it started with training camp, having fans at training camp and having the family night out, it will be great to have the big crowd at Lambeau field again to see the team and feel the energy and the resulting atmosphere. “
Parking will be $ 5, cash only. The doors to Lambeau Field open at 5:30 p.m. and the Packers enter the field at 7:20 p.m. There will be fireworks at the end of the practice. Tickets are still available for Family Night; you can buy them here.
