FHF Hair Design Brings Mobile Mammography to Polk in October

Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month event gives women the opportunity to take self-paid exams at Cedartown Hair Salon

Those who want to make sure they don’t have cancer or find out before it becomes a problem have the option to do so on Friday October 15 in Cedartown for an upcoming partnership that continues to deliver positive results for the women of Polk County.

FHF Hair Design in Cedartown is once again partnering with Floyd Medical Center to bring its mobile mammography unit downtown in the coming weeks, and those looking to take exams from 2D or 3D mammography equipment can register now to make an appointment.

Those interested in the event at 305 Main Street, Cedartown can register between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. by calling Stephanie Radford at 678-901-0643.

The annual event hosted by owner Hal Floyd – inspired by the loss of longtime friend Lisa Saucier Johnson – continues into 2021 after starting the partnership with Floyd Medical Center in 2019.

Insurance will cover the cost of those registering for an exam, or self-pay options are available for 2D and 3D mammography exams. These are $ 100 and $ 200 respectively.

Appointments will also be made for the exams.

For more information, call Radford at the number above.
