Emmerdale star Hannah Barton looks very different nine years after leaving soap

Emmerdale fans fell in love with her when she first hit our screens in 2009, but what has the teenage actress been up to since leaving the Dales?

Fan favorite Grace Cassidy joined the set when she was just 16, but it’s fair to say the brunette beauty has spread her wings since leaving the show.

The 28-year-old starred in more than 200 episodes of the popular soap opera when she played Hannah Barton, John and Moira’s youngest child.

The northern actress was involved in a number of juicy stories before leaving the show and despite her limited time on the popular soap opera, the TV star was greatly missed on set.

Faithful viewers will recall Hannah had her fair share of tumultuous relationships watching the teenager fight in love with the doomed Andy Sugden, Alex Moss and Isaac Nuttall.

And her troubles didn’t end there as the raven-haired star struggled to fit in throughout high school after her classmate Kayleigh Gibbs made life hell for Hannah and bullied her into class.

But time flies when you’re having fun and after three years on the Yorkshire-based soap, the star took the plunge to put her soap star days behind her and moved on to Big Smoke in 2012.

As Grace pondered her stint on the show, she said The sun: “Working on Emmerdale has been one of the best times of my life.

“After three years, I have made so many friends here and I will miss them so much.

“However, I felt the time had come to move on as I still have a lot to learn,” she added.

“I can’t thank Stuart and the team enough for making me feel so welcome. I will never forget the opportunity given to me.

Following her big move to London, eagle-eyed fans will have spotted her on several popular TV shows over the years as she made the transition to the big screen.

But with a big move comes an equally shocking new hair style as Grace reinvented herself in the nation’s capital as a golden-haired blonde, which landed her a role in the hit crime drama Father. Brown.

The growing starlet portrayed the character of Simone Murray in 2015 for the popular Daytime Crime show before making her 2016 theatrical debut in the romantic film The Lonely Italian.

But it looks like Grace has returned to her roots as she returned to her brunette locks more recently and put her efforts behind the camera that she regularly shares with her 13,000 Twitter followers.
