We all want long and shiny hair. However, with constantly changing weather conditions, increasing pollution and erratic lifestyles, hair loss has become more and more common. For the solution, we end up looking for expensive shampoos and conditioners. But, they don’t always work.

The quality and growth of your hair depends a lot on your diet. So, the solution to your hair problems could be in your kitchen. Nutritionist Pooja Makhija recently shared three simple ingredients readily available in your kitchen that can make your hair longer and stronger. “I use two or more at least 4-5 times a week and my hairstylist is amazed at how often I need a haircut,” she said.

Check them.

These are the three ingredients in your cooking that can help make your hair stronger and thicker.

Amla

It is naturally available and rich in vitamin C. The collagen it promotes is the reason your hair grows thicker and longer. Your hair grows about six inches each year, which depends on your age, genetics, and diet.

“We can’t do much about age and genetics, but we certainly can about our diets,” the nutritionist said.

Linseed

About two tablespoons of flaxseed gives you about 6,400 milligrams of omega 3. Several studies prove that omega 3 reduces thinning hair and makes it grow longer.

curry leaves

“I put around 10 to 15 curry leaves in my vegetable juice every day,” Makhija said. They contain beta-carotene as well as vitamin E, which makes your hair stronger and shinier. They are also a great tip for slowing down graying.

“Put them in your diet every day and grow your hair to the length you want,” the nutritionist concluded.

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (ATM4) – The bond between fathers and daughters can be incredibly strong. A salon in Milwaukee, Wisconsin found a way to make it even stronger.

When it comes to learning how to style his daughter’s hair, Dave Nelsen starts with the basics: a simple brushing of the hair.

Her daughter, Mena, isn’t afraid to give her opinion or tell her father what she wants.

“Mena came home and told me about it and told me that we will take this class together,” said Nelson.

Al Oldham, owner of Taylor & Burton salon, says a client actually asked him for advice on his own daughter’s hair.

“And then I thought there must be other dads out there who need something like that,” Al said. “So I just put together a quick flyer, spread the word and spread it. class has filled up. “

Oldham says that for most dads, ponytails, braids, and bows are completely new skills.

Nelson admits he hadn’t really brushed Mena’s hair since she was a baby.

“Once that got down to it and she got her awareness of styles and things like that, that’s kinda where I backed off, because I don’t have any experience of the 20s. years with hair, ”Nelson said, showing off his own bald head. .

“I don’t expect them to leave the hairdressers here, I just want them to leave here with a level of comfort that allows them to do something they might not be used to. “Oldham said.

Nelson begins to understand – he has practiced doing a three-strand braid.

“If I had three hands it would be so much easier,” he laughs.

But he says the new hair tips aren’t the best thing to come out of the classroom.

“For two hours she sat in the chair and I practiced on her hair and for two hours I only paid attention to her,” says Dave. “No phone, no job, no siblings, no other family members. Two hours of daddy daughter time.

“It was really fun,” Mena says. “It hasn’t happened in a very, very, very long time.”

Scalp expert and hairstylist Samantha King shared her tips for keeping your hair in the best condition possible.

Samantha is the CEO and Founder of King Hair and Beauty, who believes that the key to getting the hair of your dreams is to take care of your scalp first.

She told RSVP Live that people often don’t take enough care of their scalps, which can lead to problems.

“Your scalp is an extension of the skin on your face,” Samantha said. “You have to exfoliate and moisturize it the same way you do for your face.”

Exfoliation is something that can really help scalp health and hair growth, as well as being a gentle solution to dandruff.

Scalp exfoliation can be a soothing and stress-relieving way to invigorate the scalp. In this way, exfoliation can benefit almost anyone who wishes to do so.

There are many scalp scrubs on the market, but Samantha recommends the Alfaparf Gentle Scalp Scrub (€ 20.50).

“It’s very sweet and friendly,” Samantha explained. “You only use a small amount, lay it on your hairline and scrub it. I would recommend using a scalp scrub every three washes.”

Alfaparf Gentle Scalp Exfoliating Scrub (€ 20.50)

For those with severe dandruff, a more potent product may be needed. Samantha recommends the Nioxin Scalp Recovery System (€ 49.95) for people with very irritated and itchy scalps.

“It contains a soothing serum that works wonders,” she said. “Just put it on while the hair is wet and it calms any irritation.”

For Samantha, the most common concern she sees is oily hair. Unfortunately, in many cases there is no simple cure and it is just someone’s skin type. While many people with oily hair may be tempted to stock up on dry shampoo, we need to be careful which one we use.

“Aerosols are not good for you or the environment,” Samantha said. “Which includes dry shampoo. There are many popular brands on offer in these spray cans and they just aren’t the best. “

Samantha recommends a dry, loose powder shampoo, such as King Gold Dust (€ 12.95).

When you get to the root of the problem (no pun intended) then it is important to maintain the health of the hair itself. A good quality hairbrush is an integral part of this – and our Penneys hairbrushes unfortunately don’t cut it.

Jewel hairbrush (€ 14.95)
Jewel hairbrush (€ 14.95)

The best brushes are the boar bristle brushes, which are gentle on the hair and scalp and maximize natural shine. They have stiff bristles that help detangle without tearing the hair out. If you blow-dry your hair, it should also be ventilated to minimize heat damage.

Samantha recommends the Jewel Hairbrush (€ 14.95), which is her own creation. It has double bristles and a ventilated curved head and is suitable for all hair types.

“We were actually shocked at the quality of the brush for the kids,” Samantha said. “It’s so soft and it doesn’t get tangled, so it’s great for them.”

Moisturizing masks and oils, as well as thermal protectors, are also essential for keeping hair ends healthy and free from split ends.

Samantha and her team are available at their King Hair and Beauty pop-up store at The Square in Tallaght until Christmas for free scalp consultations. They also tailor their line of luxury hair extensions in store and you can check out their website. here.

Hair loss: vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E and biotin promote hair growth https://hairextensionsclip.org.uk/hair-loss-vitamin-a-vitamin-d-vitamin-e-and-biotin-promote-hair-growth/ Sun, 17 Oct 2021 03:00:00 +0000 https://hairextensionsclip.org.uk/hair-loss-vitamin-a-vitamin-d-vitamin-e-and-biotin-promote-hair-growth/ Losing your hair is usually not a cause for concern, but it can be distressing for some people. Losing your hair is usually not a cause for concern, but it can be distressing for some people. Abbas Kanani, pharmacist at Chemist Click, says there are a number of vitamins that can help with hair loss. If your hair loss is causing you distress, your GP may be able to help you get advice.

The first that the pharmacist suggests is Biotin, which by helping to produce keratin.

Biotin, also known as vitamin B, is one of the B vitamins. It is involved in a wide range of metabolic processes and can be purchased as a supplement.

Kanani says, “Studies have shown that biotin promotes hair growth and reduces the rate at which hair is lost. Biotin can be found naturally in foods such as eggs, nuts, and meat.

Kanani also says that several other vitamins can help reduce hair loss.

READ MORE: High Cholesterol: Five Signs In Your Legs You Need To Tackle ‘ASAP’

He adds, “Vitamin A promotes hair growth and reduces hair loss by helping the scalp glands to produce an oily substance known as sebum. The sebum helps keep the scalp moist, which in turn promotes hair growth and stops hair loss.

Nevertheless, the pharmacist warns that too much vitamin A can cause hair loss.

“Too much vitamin A can cause excess stimulation of the hair follicles, causing the hair to reach the end of the growing phase faster than usual, resulting in hair loss. The key is to have a balanced diet containing vitamin A from sweet potatoes, spinach, eggs and fatty fish, ”says the expert.

Vitamin D can also help reduce hair loss by stimulating the development of hair follicles, thereby improving hair growth.

DO NOT MISS :

Kanani says, “Hair follicles are important because they are the tiny holes in the skin from which hair grows. New hair follicles can help maintain thickness and stop existing hair loss. A lack of vitamin D can thin and lose hair.

Some research suggests that a vitamin D deficiency can cause alopecia, a condition that causes patchy hair loss.

The best source of vitamin D is sunlight. During months when sunlight is limited, you should look to other sources such as oily fish, eggs, and red meat. If you are unable to get enough vitamin D from your diet, you can take a supplement.

It is recommended to take about 15 micrograms (mcg) or 600 international units of vitamin D, specifies the pharmacist.

Finally, Kanani says vitamin E can help increase blood flow to the scalp, “by stimulating hair follicles to produce healthy hair.”

He says it also works to create a protective barrier on the scalp’s surface, trapping moisture to prevent a dry scalp.

Indeed, studies have shown that people with hair loss see a 34.5% increase in hair growth after taking vitamin E for 32 weeks. The group that didn’t take vitamin E saw a 0.1 percent increase.

Vitamin E is found in vegetable oils, nuts and green leafy vegetables.

If the daily hair loss is more than 100 hairs per day, gradual thinning may occur. This often becomes more and more noticeable in the last few years when hair growth slows down.

Finasteride and minoxidil are the main treatments for male pattern baldness.

Minoxidil can also be used to treat female pattern baldness. Women should not use finasteride.

Some wigs are available on the NHS, but you may need to pay unless you qualify for financial assistance.

Can I wear a ponytail to work without looking like a child? https://hairextensionsclip.org.uk/can-i-wear-a-ponytail-to-work-without-looking-like-a-child/ Fri, 15 Oct 2021 21:00:04 +0000 https://hairextensionsclip.org.uk/can-i-wear-a-ponytail-to-work-without-looking-like-a-child/ I am a teacher, and when I wear a mask at the school where I work, I find it easier to keep my hair in a ponytail. What’s the best way to make it professional? I would rather not become a character in “Grease” or be taken for a teenager. – Yael, Bronx, New York […]]]>

The ponytail has been a default hairstyle since ancient Greece and 1600 BCE, where the look was immortalized at Knossos Palace in Crete in the fresco “Ladies in blue. “A look endowed with multiple personalities and social signifiers, the ponytail can appear to be the simplest of backs while adapting to changes in culture and social mores – and it has done so throughout history and for both men and women.

In pre-17th-century China, for example, men in the Manchu dynasty wore their hair in a queue – a sort of long braid from the top of the head – and forced the Han Chinese under their rule to adopt the same style as symbol. submission. In 18th century Europe, the ponytail was a military sign, with British soldiers wearing their hair in a low ponytail while the French sported a low braid.

By the mid-20th century, the ponytail had mainly changed gender in the United States, becoming synonymous with bobby-soxers – girls, like Olivia Newton-John’s Sandy in “Grease,” who wore poodle skirts, shoes. saddle and bouncy ponytails. Although it has always been to some extent a practical and sporting thing, by the 1970s the pony was also a hippie thing for boys and girls.

Famous ponytail wearers include Barbie; Sandra Dee, the 1950s movie star famous for her pony; Barbara Eden in “I dream of Jeannie”; Madonna in her “Blonde Ambition” years; and Karl Lagerfeld with his powdered pouf.

As to why the ponytail appeal has lasted so long, the answer is simple – it pulls your hair away from your face, is low-maintenance, and can be worn by many people. (Also, it tends to pull your skin back, acting like a kind of mini-facelift.) That’s also why it’s such a good solution for the job; it avoids the possibility of distracting the violin. And there’s something about a completely naked face that projects confidence and security: you don’t have to hide behind your hair.

At the same time, however, if you want your professional uniform to include a ponytail, you need to professionalize it, so that it is not confused with, for example, the sports pony or the slapdash pony or the performance pony.

To that end, I asked DJ Quintero of The Wall Group, a stylist who has worked with red carpet ponytail wearers such as Blake Lively and Lily Collins, what he suggested. He said there were two key elements: the placement on the head and how secure the pony is.

“The higher the ponytail, the more relaxed the look and feel,” he wrote, so for work, “position it anywhere just above your occipital bone” – the base of the skull, where it connects to the spinal cord – “for the nape of the neck. Then, he said, take a small section of hair and wrap it around the elastic to smooth the line and communicate the ‘intentionality.

And while the most famous contemporary ponytail wearer around right now is Ariana Grande, a better model for you is probably Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge. She royally pulls off the polished pony.

Every week on Open Thread, Vanessa will answer a fashion reader’s question, which you can send her anytime via E-mail Where Twitter. The questions are edited and condensed.

In another of the best “Clone Wars” arcs, our main Jedi trio are found on the planet Mortis. In this series of episodes, Ahsoka, Anakin, and Obi-Wan meet a trio of mystical Force users. Known only as the Father, the Daughter, the Son, these all-powerful figures are physical representations of the different sides of the Force; the Daughter is the Light, the Son is the Shadow and the Father is the concept of balance.

These episodes go to wild places – including Anakin having a vision for his future as Vader – but one of the most moving moments is Ahsoka’s death. In “Altar of Mortis”, the son, having fallen almost completely to the dark side, kills Ahsoka and the daughter. In a vulnerable moment, Anakin sobs and begs for Ahsoka’s life. In her last breath, the girl transfers the last of her life force to Ahsoka and saves her.

In later episodes of “Clone Wars” (as well as “Rebels” and “The Mandalorian”), you might occasionally spot Morai, Ahsoka’s owl companion. First seen on Mortis during these episodes as the girl’s companion, Morai has been with Ahsoka since her resurrection. Fans apply that it could be a reincarnation or a form the girl takes now that she is still with Ahsoka.

What if…? The season finale offered colorful Easter eggs, including glimpses of what could happen with these Variant heroes.

The first season of the first animated series from Marvel Studios, What if…? concluded, and did it dramatically. As an Ultron (voiced by Ross Marquand) imbued with the Infinity Stones threatened to destroy all existence, the Watcher (Jeffery Wright) set aside his hands-off observations and storytelling to bring together the heroes of the season’s previous episodes for a epic showdown. Which means to fully appreciate and appreciate “What if … The watcher breaks his oath?” You probably shouldn’t have skipped an episode like you would any other anthology series.

Going back to previous episodes and characters also means more Marvel-related Easter Eggs. Some of them involved new versions of old Marvel Studios releases. Others have referred to comics and previous episodes. And one in particular hinted at an episode we’ve never had the chance to see… yet. So let us venture once more into the worlds of What if…? to see what the finale gave us who are looking for every clue inside these Marvel Studios Disney Plus shows (SPOILERS,of course) with our first stop being …

Captain Carter: The Winter Soldier

Just like the first season of What if…? started with Captain Carter (Hayley Atwell), “What if… the Watcher breaks his oath?” also begins with Captain Carter. And just like “What if… Captain Carter was the first avenger?” repeats Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) with Peggy reprising the role of Steve, the beginning of this episode tells Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), in particular the SHIELD counterterrorism raid on the high seas.

In fact, this episode takes it a step further by substituting Peggy for Steve. His suit and shield follow the same design aesthetic as Steve’s suit and shield. Winter Soldier, to the bottom of the all-silver emblem. The dialogue between Peggy and Brock Rumlow (Frank Grillo) during the mission briefing is virtually identical to the exchange between Steve and Rumlow. Ditto for the dialogue between Peggy and Black Widow (voiced by Lake Bell) about the dance talk, except he’s a guy representing Peggy instead of a statistics girl for Steve. Natasha even has the same hairstyle as in Winter Soldier, to start.

Finally, in keeping with the rest of the re-imagination The Winter Soldier with Peggy instead of Steve, she also dives into the ocean like him, and fights with Batroc (Georges St-Pierre). But the credits scene at the end of this episode also echoes a plot point from The Winter Soldier, also, which we will save for later.

Over the past 16 years, Robert Pattinson has grown from a goofy teenager to a well-dressed star, at home wearing Dior head-to-toe on the red carpets at international film festivals.

The English actor, 35, became a household name when he played the role of Edward Cullen in the dusk saga, but that was a few years before that, after his short stint as Cédric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which he first took to the red carpets.

With crowds of screaming female fans, leather jackets, black T-shirts and messy hair have been a must-have for the star returning to our screens in 2022 in The batmanthe title role of.

Far from always looking for a tuxedo, Pattinson wore a rainbow of suits. Although all black is the bulk of his wardrobe, he is known for its colors and texture, along with red velvet, a teal jacket, and burnt orange pants.

In recent years, he has become the face of Dior Homme. He’s a front row regular at the house’s Paris Fashion Week show and wears the label for red carpet appearances.

However, he’s sort of a reluctant fashionisto.

Speaking about her worst red carpet fashion moment, Pattinson described her look for the 2005 premiere of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire To GQ, saying, “I was wearing leather pants with those cowboy boots and a velor jacket.” I mean, it literally looked like a kid had walked into a fancy dress box.

Molly went for natural makeup, wearing her blonde hair in a half-up, half-down style.

She rocked loose curls to step away from her long, usually wavy blonde hair while finishing her look with a Balenciaga blue t-shirt.

“Guys don’t mind my crazy hair like Annie’s today, it’s so frizzy,” she told the camera on her Instagram Stories.

Comparing herself to the orphan from the hit musical Annie, Molly-Mae also captioned the story, “I Look Crazy,” before embarking on a paid commercial.

Molly’s new hairstyle comes after she took a £ 3,000 shopping spree at Selfridges on Saturday.

She went shopping while her boyfriend Tommy Fury in Las Vegas supported her brother Tyson ahead of his fight with Deontay Wilder tonight.

Molly-Mae walked through rails of designer goods in a private shopping room before selecting a large leather bag costing £ 1950 from Balenciaga.

She also fell in love with a £ 1,035 quilted jacket from Jacquemus.

While Tommy was away, Molly was in a thoughtful mood and gave fans a glimpse into their perfect relationship.

On TikTok, she shared a video of Tommy looking smart in a suit and wrote, “Pov – you and your boyfriend are horribly in love.”

She followed him with Tommy’s many declarations of love, with his words moving Molly to tears.

One of them said: “I love you and I miss you so much my girlfriend, what are your plans to rest today? X”

Another gushed: “Every day I can’t believe I met my soul mate so early I’m the luckiest guy in the world and I really mean it.”

As a third said, “I just want to keep loving you every day of my life.”

Earlier this week, Tommy sent Molly a sweet note and some flowers.

He would say, “To my daughter, I love you and I miss you. Love Tommy xx”

Molly then walked over to the gorgeous rose bouquet, adding Ariana Grande’s “Imagine” to the clip along with the caption, “You’re all @tommyfury”.

The lovebirds first reunited in the 2019 Love Island series and have lived happily ever after.
