Looking to celebrities’ social media accounts for beauty advice isn’t always exciting, but it’s often worth it, especially when models share their stories of how they deal with hair loss. Model Caroline Murphy took to Instagram recently to reveal that – like Alyssa Milano and many others – she is losing her hair after having COVID-19[feminine]. His solution? A “triple threat treatment” which consists of supplements and a serum.

“Post-COVID hair loss is real,” Murphy told his 517,000 Instagram followers last week, alongside a photo of the Agent Nateur’s Holi(locks) Hair Fortifying Serumthe Supplement for hair, skin and nails Holi (mane)and the Food supplement Moon Juice SuperHair. It’s an expensive regimen: Agent Nateur hair serum is $88, Holi (mane) supplements for $98, and Moon Juice supplements for $60. But given Murphy’s profession, we can’t blame him for investing – especially with the rave reviews of the latter in Nordstrom.

“After three months of continuous use, my hair has stopped falling out and there is a lot of new growth”, wrote a Nordstrom reviewer coping with pandemic-induced stress and anxiety. After four months of use, another customer nicknamed the vitamins are “life-changing” because they saw less hair loss in the shower and on their comb. And by a third person with baldness near the hairline, “religiously” sticking to the pills for two months gave them the regrowth they were hoping for.

With the addition of the Agent Nateur supplement, it looks like Murphy has all his bases covered. Powder targeting hair, skin and nails contains marine collagen and pearl powder; according to the brand, pearl powder is “the richest source of calcium on the planet”, and its high magnesium content could promote less oxidative stress (which leads to premature aging).

A 2021 review of pearl powder in the peer-reviewed journal Materials agree: the ingredient is used in traditional Chinese medicine as antioxidantand his stimulation of fibroblasts increased collagen production in laboratory studies. But, there are not many user reviews for the Agent Nateur hair serum or supplement, which uses green tea, horsetail, peptides and clover flower to inhibit the DHT hormone which can contribute to excretion.
