Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley Gets ‘Square Bangs’ and Blunt Haircut

Dear reader, if you’ve watched the second season in just over one sitting and there’s been a Bridgerton-shaped hole in your life ever since, you’ll be glad to know that your hair withdrawal symptoms and Shondaland’s beauty might be toned down a bit thanks to Simone Ashley’s latest makeover.

The 27-year-old actress, who plays the eldest of two sisters Sharma Kate on the hit Netflix show, just gave her hair a very un-regency makeover with the addition of full bangs. feathers, while her long hair, which used to fall well past her shoulders, also seems to have received a new chop. Her new hairstyle is also a poker straight style, really showing off the slightly feathery ends of the style.

Simone shared a photo with her 3.3 million Instagram followers, although she didn’t refer to her hairstyle, simply captioning the post: ‘See ya Seattle’ alongside a hand emoji waving.

The star’s new look, of course, didn’t go unnoticed by the rest of us and was a treat for her followers, who took to the comments section of her grid post to tell her.

“The Fringe Strikes, Girl!!” her Bridgerton co-star and on-screen mother-in-law, Shelley Conn, writes, as a second fan agrees, “Love your new hairstyle.”

Meanwhile, a third chimed in with, “Omg! You are so beyond beautiful! Loving the bangs,” as a fourth enthused, “THE HAIR IS AMAZING.

The makeover comes just weeks after the star emerged to get the “octopus haircut” trend, a shaggy style that dominated social media in the first half of 2022.

Sharing a new snap to her Instagram Stories in May, Simone showed off freshly cut and wet braids. Although her hair looks like it hasn’t been blow-dried yet, we could easily see that she had new face framing, choppy layers, as well as losing inches of her long hair.

We’re definitely getting octopus cut vibes – a modern take on the mullet in which more length is added to the bottom of the style while the hair on top keeps the weight down. The look was really made popular last year thanks to singer Billie Eilish and Squid Games star HoYeon Jung.

Obviously, there’s no hairstyle that Simone Ashley can’t pull off.
