AJ Pritchard’s girlfriend Abbie transforms her hair after strands wear out in horror fire

AJ Pritchard’s girlfriend Abbie Quinnen left with third degree burns after being engulfed in flames following a social media video that went wrong in January

AJ Pritchard’s girlfriend, Abbie Quinnen, has recounted how she fell “horrible and insecure” after parts of her hair were burnt off from a freak accident that left her with third degree burns.

Dancer Abbie, 24, was engulfed in flames when a glass she was using for a TikTok video exploded in January, leaving her with three skin grafts.

The couple were filming a ‘life hack’ video – which aimed to show how a glass bottle could be cut in half so that it could then be used as a vase – when the accident happened

But the technique – which involved dipping a rope in a flammable chemical, wrapping it around the bottle, and lighting a flame – caused the glass to explode, setting Abbie on fire.

And now, Abbie has taken to Instagram to reveal that she feels confident with her hair after spending months taking vitamins to develop her hair growth.

Proud of her locks after being devastated by the flames, Abbie uploaded several photos that showed her hair after the accident.

In the pre-treatment snaps, her locks appeared thin and dry and chunks of her blonde hair were of different lengths that were drastically different from her most recent captures which revealed her hair looked thicker and shinier.

“SWIPE for the MOST AMAZING TRANSFORMATION using @jshealthvitamins hair & energy tablets, I can’t tell you how drastically my hair has changed while taking these tablets!” she wrote while advertising the product she was using.

Detailing how the condition of her hair was degrading her, she added: “Honestly, I felt so bad and insecure about my hair after my hair was burned in the fire and after I removed my hair extensions, my hair were so thin and broken I saw the hair and the energy pills on an influencer story and thought I had to try it !!

Earlier this year, Abbie was in intensive care for five nights as staff attempted to repair her damaged skin following the horror fire.

She ended up with third degree burns all over her face, arms and torso.

She said The sun at the time: “My face was hot, it was very painful. I was lucky that I missed an eye.

“I had huge water-filled blisters on my chest, neck and face and they had to pop them and clean the areas …

“My face swelled up. I couldn’t see with my right eye.

“Luckily there weren’t any mirrors in the bathrooms but I kept glimpsing my reflection on my phone screen, it was horrible.”

She recently revealed that she had to wear a compression vest 23 hours a day.

In a post on Instagram, she shared a photo of her dress and said: “There are only a few things that I feel comfortable wearing right now and this dress is one of them.

“I’m really having a hard time figuring out what to wear right now as I have to wear a compression vest 23 hours a day under my clothes and keep my scars out of the sun.

“I always panic about what I’m going to wear before I leave the house, so it’s always so nice to get so many compliments from you on what I’m wearing! Thank you.”
